Taking a tour with my boys today.
My boys are loving the AZ Science Center today.
Can't believe my water melons are this huge in less than 1 week!
Drive thru archery/liquor store in Camp Verde, AZ.
Boiled Louisiana style. Mmmmm...
Made the heat a little more bearble today ; )
I planted my watermelon vine a few weeks ago with a little first timer skeptisism. I am thrilled and a little shocked to see that not only has the vine survived my gardening learning curve, it appears to be thriving!
About a dozen so far with tons more female blossoms : )
Who knew? I found this bat watching area completely by accident on my morning jog. It's on the north side of the Arizona Canal between 40th and 32nd st. Apparently if you show up just before sunset you'll see thousands of Mexican free-tailed and western pipistrelle bats fly out of the flood control tunnel and off to the east. I'm planning to bring my boys to check it out.
Okay, so I'm looking at the stuff in my new DIY compost bin (kind of proud of it actually) and I'm thinking... why worms? A couple of bunnies would make short work of this stuff and they're cute and furry... bonus!
